The winter: A perfect time for a dessert, a warm mate and a nice book

It was a nice and cool evening, I was coming back home after an exhausting day in college. That weather  gave me such a great pleasure since it was the announcement that winter was coming soon after several months that the climate had been annoyingly hot.

On my way home I felt like having something sweet and warm to eat so I went to the bakery and asked for a dessert called "mil hojas". It had been more than a year that I didn't want something sweet to eat, maybe that's because I noticed that eating sweets on summer makes me extremely sweat and I was sick of it. But this time the summer was gone and I was wondering if it was just a once in a lifetime weather so then the following day the warm and foggy climate come back again.

As I arrived home I was really excited for a hot drink that keeps me warm as I eat my dessert. At first I was going for a cup of coffee but then I saw a bag of Yerba mate that I had brought from Argentina and I came for the conclusion that mate and coffee can't live together in the world of my tastes so I decided to have the emblematic Argentinian drink to keep me warm this time.

As I had my dessert and my mate ready, I felt that there was something missing in myself, something I didn't enjoy as I wanted because the hot weather didn't allow me that pleasure and I felt that this time I finally would be able to enjoy as much as I can: reading a book. Then I realized that the pleasure the  winter gave me wasn't just for its freshness but for the other pleasures that came with it.
